Do you wan't to get into holiday spirit with your dog and watch Christmas movies with your dog? Good news! As PawsApp we have created a list of Christmas themed movies to watch with dogs.
1. Falling for Christmas (2022)
The Mean Girls queen Lindsay Lohan makes her return to the screen, and this Netflix hit is the perfect vehicle for her brand of romantic comedy acting. If that's not enough to entice you, then yes, she does play a spoiled heiress to her dad's Aspen resort business, and yes, she does get amnesia, and yes, she does fall for a local lodge keeper. It's a prime example of not watching a holiday movie for the actual plot, but for the spectacle of it all. It is exactly what you'd expect it to be, and that's a predictably good and corny time with your pup.
2. A dog named Christmas(2009)
If heart-warming, feel-good movies are your thing, you and your pup will definitely want to check this one out with your dog.
This Hallmark Channel film tells the story of an developmentally-challenged teen who convinces his reluctant parents to foster a dog over the holidays. While easily predictable, this film will give you all of the warm and fuzzy holiday feels.
3. A puppy for Christmas(2016)
After adopting a cute puppy, Noelle's world is turned upside down when her boyfriend breaks up with her. After accepting an invitation to spend the holidays with a co-worker, she is surrounded by the Christmas cheer of a happy family and soon sparks begin to fly. It is a lovely choice if you are a new dog owner and would love to watch an adorable puppy's journey.
4.Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure (2011)
The Beethoven movies are perfect for dog lovers, and this one will get you in the holiday mood. Your favorite Saint Bernard pup is back, and it’s up to him to save Christmas when Santa’s bag of presents is stolen. It’s sure to be a fun watch for you and your dog.
5. The Noel Diary(2022)
When best-selling author Jake Turner (Justin Hartley) returns home at Christmas to settle his estranged mother's estate, he discovers a diary that may hold secrets to his own past and that of Rachel (Barrett Doss) -- an intriguing young woman on a mission of her own. Together, they embark on a journey to confront their pasts and discover a future that's totally unexpected.
6. Lady and the tramp (2019)
This may not be a “Christmas” movie per se, but it is one of the best dog movies that also happens to begin and end on Christmas Day. Disney recently made a live action version of the movie, but we can’t help loving the classics!Lady is a Christmas gift to her human. Through the year, the pampered, sophisticated Lady falls in puppy love with a streetwise mutt. On Christmas Day the next year, we see a beautiful new doggy family started by the Lady and the Tramp.
We encourage making plain, garlic- and onion-free pasta to eat instead of popcorn while watching so you can try to recreate the film’s most famous scene with your pup.

7. A Dogwalker's Christmas Tale
Luce is a college student who gets a holiday job caring for a land developer's dog, but then she meets an attractive guy who is protesting her boss's plan to tear down their local dog park and turn it into a spa.
